As I mentioned in an earlier post, on Sunday I became the proud owner of a bag of figs that I got for just £1 on Brick Lane.

Yesterday I had a mezze at Hookah Lounge on Brick Lane. After lunch, I was feeling all inspired about Middle Eastern cooking, so went home and took on the figs.

I split some open at the top, and cut others in half. Next, I drizzled honey over them and popped them into the oven at 180°c.

After ten minutes I took them out, served them with fromage frais, a sprinkling of cinnamon, and an extra drizzle of honey. Delicious!
